Stable Releases

"Overall I've been finding this a fantastic package, the web client offers that vast majority of what you can get through something like Thunderbird, with the obvious advantage that you can read your mail from any computer."
-- Demian Turner, Seagull

March 25, 2009. After several years of development, the first stable release of Ansel, the Horde Photo Management and Web Gallery Application has been released.

Welcome to the home of the Horde Project. Here, you can find the PHP-based Horde Application Framework and our suite of web applications using it, from the widely used webmail program IMP to the contact manager Turba, the calendar manager Kronolith, and many others.

Frequently Asked Questions and information about listservers are available, IRC, bug tracking, getting the source, and mirror sites.

You can also find out more about what Horde is, browse some papers and articles about Horde projects, read about who does this, find out about consulting and customization, take part in our survey about how you use Horde, and join us in giving thanks to the people and companies that support our efforts.

Are you a PHP application developer? The Horde Framework provides backend-independent interfaces for dealing with preferences, logfiles, MIME, hierarchical data, authentication, data formats, encryption, forms, session handling, file storage, remote procedure calls - and more is on the way.

Or, are you looking for a project? Right now, we have more projects than we have developers on board. If you're interested in taking on one of the projects that need a lead developer, let us know. The full list of CVS Modules is an even better place to find a project that needs you.
